Johanne was born June 18th 1946 and passed away June 21st 2026, 3 days after she had celebrated her 80th birthday with her family.
She was predeceased by her Mother Thelma Wallace, her ex-husband Fred Galbraith and her best friend Emilie Chapman.
Johanne was raised in Kenora, Ontario and grew up on a homestead on the Essex Road and attended #1 school . She started working in the Kenora hospital in laundry and then as a short order cook at the Kenricia hotel.
She later moved to Prince George, BC, where she started a new career in the lumber mill of Helco. When it closed she started at new mill that was just opening called Brinks Forest Products where she worked in the finger jointer, then paper wrapper and finally fork lift operator until she retired.
Her hobbies were gardening, fishing and was an avid volunteer for animal rescues as well spent as most of her life helping other people .
She is survived and will be deeply missed by her daughter Judy Armstrong, her grandchildren, Shelly, Kelsey, Tyrone Armstrong and her great grandchildren Phoenix, Mavrick and Cielle.
She will also be greatly missed by her 2 companion felines Twix and Callie.
Celebration of life will be held on July 11th from 1-3 at the Trinity Church
